A little late but worth the wait ❄️

Jon Snow may have jumped the gun back in November. While we've had a few storms, compared to last January, 2018 started out with less than a bang. We love a warm day of spring skiing, but we prefer them in April.

The common interpretation of Seasonal Affective Disorder is a dreary lull from the cold and lack of sunshine, but around here winter is essential to our way of life. Maybe our friends in the midwest don't appreciate our frowns at 60 degrees temps this time of year, but we can't help it! There's just nothing quite as invigorating as crisp winter air filling your lungs as the chair lift heads to the top of the mountain.

Thankfully these past few storms and the forecast coming up have us back to a familiar feeling. With the resorts reporting up to 18" of new snow this morning, cold temps today, and a major front arriving tomorrow through the weekend, it looks like we're in for a pretty epic March (...and hopefully April and we wouldn't complain about skiing in May).

Make sure to drive safe this week, check the forecast and road conditions regularly, and enjoy another weekend in this mountain oasis we call home. Might we recommend a few extra layers to keep you warm?
