Fall in love with Fall

Fall in love with Fall Tahoe U blog weekend guide

There's plenty to fall in love with around here, but the hidden gem of the Sierra is really an entire season: Fall. The summers bring days spent on the lake, and winters get all the glory on the slopes, but there is just something special about the season in between. The changing leaves intermingled with the evergreens, the crisp air, it's simply something to behold. We've put together the perfect fall outfit for exploring, plus some inspiration from our favorite Instgrammers to encourage you to get out there and experience it for yourself

This shot of the gorgeous fall leaves comes from @anxiousbrunetteabroad. Truckee has many groves of aspen trees sprinkled between their evergreen neighbors. Especially along the Truckee River, which we're lucky to have right out our back door.

This lil leafy friend is from @dakotaashleymarie in South Lake Tahoe. The juxtaposition of the changing leaves and seasons against the timeless backdrop of the lake and mountains really makes you stop and soak it in.

This shot of the famous 267 Cabin outside of Truckee is a must-see in the fall and @paigeltennant captures it perfectly. Photographer Grant Kaye will be hosting a Fall Photo Walk there this weekend in partnership with Atelier. Make sure to grab your camera and sign up.

Of course, exploring is better with an adventure partner. Our friend @brunettetahoette explores the Tahoe Meadow trail with her sweetheart, while looking fall chic we might add. That's what we call #styleataltitude.

Of course, the best mountain sidekick is the four-legged kind. @toreyphilipp brought a solid crew to check out one of the prettiest spots in the region, Hope Valley. This spot in the Carson Valley is picture-perfect this time of year and is worth the trek.

Now that we've given you some Instagram #inspo, we hope you stop by and gear up then head out there and enjoy living in a #5817stateofmind.
