We have a lot to be thankful for each year. As mothers we watch our kids grow and learn new things, as business owners we continue to expand our vision, and as members of this community we are grateful for our friends and family that have made life feel so full! That family includes our loyal customers and #tahoeucrew. Even if you’re a follower from afar, we cherish each like and comment. We want Tahoe University to be so much more than just a store, and we’ve been so thankful that a shared 5,817’ State of Mind continues to bring us new friends and blessings.
Every day we meet new visitors that come through our doors. Whether you heard about us from a friend, saw our billboard while stuck in traffic, or even liked us on Instagram, it’s always a thrill and a joy to make a new connection and provide a place to bring people together. It’s what makes it all worth it for us.
We hope you all get some time this week to reflect on your many blessings. Especially as we reflect on our neighbors that have lost everything, we count our blessings. It’s easy to get wrapped up in responsibilities and schedules, so take a moment to drink it all in (whether you choose beer, bourbon…or wine).
Our greatest gifts are the people in our lives. We are so grateful to raise our families here together and for the many relationships that make life and work so enjoyable. You don’t need to have a lot of things, when you’re in good company you have it all.
Of course, one of the easiest ways to slow down and take inventory of life’s good fortune is to sit down at the table together. Each family shares different traditions and ingredients but we can all agree on one thing: food is the universal language of good times.
When the cooking is done and the bellies are full, sit back and relax. The holidays can create stress, from coordinating travel and events to making sure you check-off shopping for everyone on your list, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Just don’t lose sight of what brings us all together; the to-do list will still be there tomorrow, today is about being present.
Now, *zen activated* …speaking of presents - we’re here to give you a little something as a token of our appreciation AND to help you tackle that gift list. We’ve put together an itinerary of savings and stocked the store full of goodies. Come in for Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday for 25% off the entire* store and if you miss anything, shop from the couch on Cyber Monday for further savings.
*excludes furniture and Tahoe U Originals
So, thank you again for your support during our first few years on this journey. There have been challenges along the way but we are so fortunate to be doing what we love. Might we add, we've even had a little fun along the way!
From our families to yours, we hope you have a happy Thanksgiving. We hope to see lots of faces out to #shopsmall this weekend and support not only our business but all of the awesome places we share Downtown Truckee with.
